Our Design and Build Austin Projects
Designing, building, and remodeling are passions for us. We do this as a hobby, an investment, and as a way to work together as a family. Jim draws the plans, and we all contribute to the many choices that have to be made. It keeps us involved in design, materials, floor plans, and all that makes a house really live well.
The experience of doing a little diy building keeps us in touch with the needs of our clients, who often want to update the house they are buying. Or they need to prepare their house for sale. We can share experiences and contractors.
Our diy building is just a hobby, and tends to go slowly. We have to remind ourselves not to get stressed out and put a lot of pressure on ourselves to rush. Of course, we contract all the work ourselves, and even step in and do a little – like sweep floors. 🙂
