Real Estate Market Northwest Austin – Spring 2017

Hi, I’m Roselind Hejl, and this is a real estate market northwest Austin update. These neighborhodos attend Westwood High School.

These include Balcones Woods, Barrington Oaks, Canyon Creek, Great Hills, Milwood, Oak Forest, Spicewood neighborhoods, and more.

Westwood High neighborhoods were built from the 1970’s through the 1990’s. These are very mature neighborhoods with tree lined streets.

Homes in the Westwood High area can range from about $200,000 to 1,000,000. But most homes are in the $200,000 – 500,000 range. The median home sale in 2016 was $425,000.

We use a measurement called “months of inventory on market”. Which is an indicator of how quickly homes are selling. About 6 months of inventory on market is considered a balanced market.
