Senna Hills Neighborhood – Westlake Area

We have shown and listed homes in the Westlake area for many years, and Senna Hills has always been one of our favorites.  We never miss an opportunity to show this elegant neighborhood in the Eanes ISD. 

Neighborhood

Located in the highly desirable Westlake area of Austin, Senna Hills one of Austin’s most sought after neighborhoods. Beautiful hill country and big blue sky views come up as you drive down its gently sloping streets.  People go out to walk and enjoy the views, and say hello to neighbors.  The feel of Senna Hills is one of serenity, quiet, and convenience.  Living here is laid back, yet elegant.  Dedicated green belts surround much of the neighborhood, and there are hiking trails for residents.

Senna Hills is a relatively small neighborhood of about 200 homes with a wonderful community atmosphere.  The neighborhood opened in 1994, with more recent sections completed by Taylor Woodrow and Drees Homes.  Today the neighborhood is fully built.

Elegant brick and limestone traditional homes are abundant in the neighborhood, along with stucco Mediterranean styles in the more recent homes.   You’ll find updated interiors and great yards with mature trees.

Community

Among the amenities in the neighborhood are a community center with clubhouse, picnic area, playground, pool, and lighted basketball and tennis court.  Residents actively build community by coordinating playgroups, book clubs, summer movie nights, holiday parties, and a neighborhood newsletter.  There are block parties and pot lucks.  Neighbors get together.  Kids meet other kids.  Visit Senna Hills neighborhood HOA.

Eanes ISD Schools

One of the most attractive features of the community is the Eanes ISD schools.  Neighborhood children attend Barton Creek Elementary, West Ridge Middle School and Westlake High School.  These schools have been highly rated for many years.  Westlake High consistently ranks on Newsweek’s Top High Schools List.

Shopping

The Hill Country Galleria is a beautiful shopping hub enjoyed by residents of Senna Hills.  The Galleria includes over 100 upscale shops and restaurants – from Dick’s Sporting Goods, to Dillards, Eddie Bauer, Chico’s, and many more.

Lowes and Home Depot are handy, along with Michaels, Home Goods, and other popular retailers.  For groceries, Whole Foods Market is in the Galleria, and HEB is nearby also. Other large shopping centers, such as Barton Creek Mall, and Village of Westlake, plus retail centers along Bee Cave Road make everyday life very convenient in Senna Hills.
